Our Latest Endeavors
On May 31st, 2007, we held a Field Day at our farm. This workshop was presented by New River Headwaters Alternative Agriculture Program. During this workshop we explained about our farm and why we planted a Winter 2006 cover crop of Wheat. We then proceeded to demonstrate how to use a roller-crimper to effectively roll down and kill the wheat, to cover the ground; then used a no-till transplanter to plant organic pumpkins as well as a new crop for us, organic tobacco.
